Dr. S KATHIRVEL
PROFESSOR AND HOD
Dr. S. Kathirvel, B.Pharm (Adhiparasakthi College of Pharmacy, 2002), M.Pharm (Adhiparasakthi College of Pharmacy, 2006), and PhD (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, 2013), is currently the Principal of KMCT Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research. He has 18 years of teaching experience and has guided over 25 postgraduate students, with 40+ peer-reviewed publications, 225 citations, and an H-index of 7.
Before his current role, Dr. Kathirvel served as Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis at the National College of Pharmacy, Kozhikode. He was also the IIC Co-coordinator and IEDC Nodal Officer, contributing to academic leadership and innovation initiatives.
Dr. Kathirvel is a recognized PhD guide under Sri Ramachandra University, chennai , Vinaya University, salem , Mahatma Gandhi University, Puducherry and Kerala University of Health Sciences, currently supervising 3 PhD scholars. His research, focusing on analytical method development, has earned him awards, including third prize at AIMST University, Malaysia (2023). He has filed two patents and authored a book chapter with Springer. Additionally, he is a reviewer for prominent journals and has secured various research grants.
